INSURANCE
All authorized drivers of Mywheels vehicles are covered against fire and liability to third parties for death, injury or damage to property.
COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW-SCDW)
The renters liability for damage to the Mywheels vehicle as mentioned above, can be reduced, under the condition that the Greek Traffic Law will not be violated, to €500.00 for groups A, B. For group C 600€, D 700€, G and mini SUV 800€.(excess amout).
FULL DAMAGE WAIVER (FDW)
The renters liability for damage to the Mywheels vehicle as mentioned above, can be reduced, under the condition that the Greek Traffic Law will not be violated, to €500.00 for groups A, B. For group C 600€, D 700€, G and mini SUV 800€.(excess amout).
FULL DAMAGE WAIVER (FDW)
The renter has the option of paying 12€ and €15 per day respectively. With the payment of €12 per day, for categories A, B, C and for categories D,mini SUV €15 per day the renter is fully covered from any legal liability for damage to the car (provided it is not due to violation of the Greek traffic code) from liability for theft of the car, and from the incident administration fee. Parts of the car that doesn’t cover by FDW are the following :
- Interior
- Mirrors
- Underneath the car
- Wheels
NOT COVERED IN ANY INSURANCE PACKAGE:
Damage to the interior of the Vehicle • Traffic violation fines • Mechanical damage due to Lessee’s fault • Damage to exterior mirrors • Damage to tires, rims or hubcaps • Damage to undercarriage of the vehicle • Antenna loss/Damage • Damage caused by illegal or improper use according to this Agreement • Damage caused by the use of the vehicle on dirt road, beach, forest or outside of paved roads or on damaged roads • Damage caused by non-registered driver, underage driver or if driver was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs • Incident Administration Expenses (€ 80) • Loss of personal items (unless extra specific cover has been purchased) • Loss or destruction of car accessories or extras provided by Mywheels
Provision of a car
Bookings are confirmed according to vehicle categories and not according to individual models. The named cars on the website serve ONLY as typical examples for the size, specifications and performance of a vehicle category.
The rental provider will supply a vehicle according to the specifications of the booked car group.
The local car rental company reserves the right to upgrade the selected vehicle category on site to a higher one if the booked vehicle category is not available.
Mywheels Excess Cover Service will only cover up to the excess amount of the car category confirmed on the car rental voucher.
It is your responsibility to ensure the category booked is suitable for your needs, as we cannot be liable for incorrect choice resulting in the refusal of rentals locally due to too many persons.
Breakdown/ Accident
In the event of a breakdown or accident etc. you must contact the local provider
immediately for instructions and assistance. It is highly recommended to call the police even for the smallest of damages. All related documentation must be kept if an insurance claim is submitted.
Blacklist
Mywheels has the right to blacklist any persons from its website when found to be engaging in fraudulent transactions or acting in a dishonest manner.
Mywheels will not fail to take legal action in cases of insurance fraud or any kind of attempt at deceit in order to acquire funds illegally.
Terms of Use
AGE REQUIREMENT: For groups A, B, C, drivers must be over 23 years of age. For any other vehicle group, min age of the driver must be 25.
PAYMENT METHOD: You can pay by Credit Card accepted by Mywheels, Bank transfer or by cash. In any case a valid credit card must be shown for all necessary pre-authorization amounts as well as pre-payments and settlement of final rental charges.
DRIVING LICENSE: A valid driving license held for at least one year is required from the driver. For travelers coming outside the EU, an international driving license is needed
GRACE PERIOD: At the end of the agreed rental period, Mywheels allows a grace period of 2 hours free of charge after which, the renter will be charged hourly
TRAFFIC FINES: All fines resulting from the drivers conduct are born solely by the renter.
INSURANCE: All authorized drivers of Mywheels vehicles are covered against damages from fire to the rented vehicle, and Liability Insurance to Third Party death, injury, and property. Both coverages are subject to General Terms of the Mywheels insurance contract with its Insurer.
THEFT AND FIRE PROTECTION (TP): Theft protection is an optional service which, if accepted, relieves the renter from all financial responsibility for loss or damage to the Discover vehicle by or following daily charge: €3.00 for groups A, B, C, D, K and €6.00 for groups E,T,Y.
AIRPORT CHARGE (ASC): There is no airport charges
FUEL POLICY: The tank has to be returned at the fuel level as of the pick up day. If the customer requires full tank, he/she bears the obligation to return it full.
BABY SEATS: : Available ONLY on request with a daily charge..
ACROSS THE BORDER RENTALS: Not allowed
FERRY RESTRICTIONS: Allowed only with prior written agreement with Mywheels. Please note that any damage to the vehicle in transit will be not covered by any insurance.
TAXES: All rates include taxes and VAT
DAMAGES : Customers bear the obligation to return the vehicle clean and in the best possible condition. Moreover they are subject to extra charges of minimum 50 € regarding dirt and damages in the car interior.
